The story of an icon
A historic icon of Piazzale Loreto in Milan, Palazzo di Fuoco is one of the most renowned buildings designed by architect Giulio Minoletti. A recent renovation project by GBPA Architects has brought it back into a contemporary dimension while preserving its distinctive identity, including the façade lighting, which is already part of Minoletti’s original design and has strong communicative and iconic value.
Voltaire Lighting Design developed the lighting concept, using the latest-generation technologies and components to preserve the building’s scenographic character. A monograph, published by Platform Network, explores the building’s strong historical and identity value, Minoletti’s pioneering vision, and the redevelopment project. Highly recommended.
